Essie’s Kitchen Broccoli Stir Fry Recipe


1 tablespoon olive oil                                   12 oz raw shrimp, deveined

24 ounces broccoli florets                           ½ large onion, chopped

½ green bell peppers, diced                         ½ large red bell pepper, diced

½ large yellow bell peppers, diced               ½ large orange Bell pepper, diced

2 cloves of garlic, chopped                          1 tablespoon of fresh grated ginger

1 teaspoon of Essie’s Pepper, hot               1 tablespoon brown sugar

3 tablespoon of soy sauce                           2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar                    1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 teaspoon cornstarch                                 1 teaspoon sriracha


In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, cornstarch and Sriracha, if using; set aside.    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add shrimp, and cook, stirring occasionally, until pink, about 2-3 minutes. Add peppers and onions. Add broccoli, and cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in soy sauce mixture until well combined and slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
